Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Condition for return is subject to Duck Duck Books’ inspection.
Additional non-returnable items include: gift cards, bulk orders, subscriptions (Duck Duck Book Club) and items received through the subscriptions.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted. Condition for return is subject to Duck Duck Books’ inspection:
* Book with obvious signs of use.
* Accessories and toys that have been opened and used.
* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
* Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
* You changed your mind about your purchase.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund via email. Unless the item is defective and damaged, all returns are subject to a restocking fee of $2.50 per item. Shipping cost is not refunded.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, around 5-10 business days (and depending on your financial institution).
No refunds are offered at this time if your subscription item has been shipped. However, you can cancel up till 10 business days prior to your subscription ships. If you happen to receive a duplicate book, please contact us and provide proof of duplicates so we can swap the book for you. No shipping will be charged for all subscription orders.

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items in which no return is indicated cannot be refunded. For discounted items, such as a preorder thank you gift, only the purchase price of the order will be refunded.
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at serena@duckduckbooks.com with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate / code will be provided to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he or she will find out about your return.

Unless specified, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
