⭐ Learn and Practice English Vocabulary ⭐
Kids love this extremely fun yet challenging game. Although it's recommended for kids 8 and up, it can be played in teams with younger and/or older players as well. I've also used it in adult ESL classes.
In teams or partners, players describe the 8 words on their card until their teammates identify them. The team that identifies all the words first (or the most words in a set amount of time) wins! However, the competition side of it can be downplayed if the emphasis is on learning/collaboration.
Full rules are included in the digital download.
All you have to do is download the file (letter-sized or A4), print the 5 pages of cards and cut them out. The concept of the game is simple too, which is the beauty of it. There is also a page of 10 'Genius cards' which contain more difficult words, but beginning with the same letter. (The fact that they all start with the same letter can be shared in the beginning or not, depending on the age/language skills of the group.)
Additionally, as in most of my games, there is a blank sheet so players can create their own cards as well, and then trade them with other players.
I made this game because I admit that I'm a word nerd, and I love playing games like this. I hope you and your kids do too!
